Okanagan Grocery was established in 2004 and is devoted to making quality traditional artisan breads and other treats right here in the Okanagan Valley.

At our main shop at Guisachan Village in Kelowna (2355 Gordon Drive) we offer a selection of locally made products, local cheeses and locally roasted organic espresso coffees. We also opened our new bake shop in summer of 2011 (#115-1979 Windsor Road) - we encourage you to stop by to grab a pastry and coffee. The smell is delightful!

Our breads are still made on a small scale in the time honoured fashion using a natural starter and no unnecessary additives.

The breads are all made with organic unbleached white flour, most with natural starter (named 'Naomi' and 'Arnold') and are hand-shaped. The majority of the loaves are baked in a commercial electric stone deck oven. We do not add any strange fats or products to bulk up the size of the loaves, making the breads as naturally as possible

To increase the health benefits of our breads many include the addition of wheat germ, rye flour and other seeds and grains.

Okanagan Grocery is working closely with other small businesses to promote the development of great locally produced food and wine, contributing to a better culinary environment for all of us in the Okanagan
